SOWLE - Christian Life Coach for Women

Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1

Why is faith so important to a Christian? Because without faith we cannot please God. We have to believe that God is who He says He is. Faith means believing that what God says will come to pass. Faith enables us to believe that what we do not see will indeed happen.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Hebrews 11:6.

Matters of God require us to believe and rest on the Word of God. This goes against the matters of the world whereby people want what they can see, feel, and touch. That was one of the reasons in the Old Testament people made all sorts of images as idols. They wanted a god they could see. Yet, during those times God would reveal Himself to His people in such amazing ways. But still, that was not enough. Within a short period of time people would turn their backs on Him and they would go back to worshiping idols. In the New Testament, Jesus walked on earth among people. He performed many miracles, but many people would still not believe that He is the Son of God.

That is why Jesus told Thomas, "Because you have seen Me you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen, and yet have believed" John 20:29.

It requires faith to believe in things not yet seen. With faith in God we store up treasures in heaven; we are considered blessed.

Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord considered his response of faith as proof of genuine loyalty. Genesis 15:6.

In the present times, God still reveals Himself to us. He is present, He is still at work. However, people have come up with all sorts of rationalization to explain away the works of God. People no longer give credit to God. We have started idolizing everything. We have made people great and God small. But God is good, extremely patient. He is watching. Even when we do not ask He still provides; the sun still shines, He still holds the universe together. If only we asked.

Call to me and I will answer and reveal to you wondrous secrets that you haven't known. Jeremiah 33:3.

What if we trusted God with unwavering faith, how great the world would be!

The promises of God are for us; they are there for us to claim. Through Christ we have life in its full abundance. With faith we speak to the mountains of life.

Truly I tell you that if anyone says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea' and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen, it will be done for him. Mark 11:23.

There is so much hopelessness in the world because we have forgotten our one and only first love, Jesus Christ. When we face challenges we tend to run to all sorts of things seeking answers or in an attempt to numb what happening in our lives. That then opens the door for the enemy to come into our lives; he fills us with fear and tells us that if we do not follow him then we will not get out of our circumstances. But those who follow his path come to learn the enemy is no good; he is a deceiver and a destroyer. The devil has no power over us unless we open our lives to his deceit. When we turn to all sorts of idols we run ourselves to destruction. Without faith, fear sets in. Yet, in God there is no fear.

Now therefore, fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:14-15.

We have to choose to believe in God, and when we do, God starts working in us in amazing ways. He multiplies what we have many-folds for His glory.

For God is the One who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, He will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. 2 Corinthians 9:10.

That is why Jesus said if we have faith even the size of a mustard seed, we will speak to the mountain and it will obey, and nothing will be impossible with us.

Faith enables us to claim God's promises into our lives. We speak to our circumstances in accordance to the Word Of God and they align in accordance to the will of God. Through faith we enjoy the blessings of God here on earth and in the end gain eternal life.

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:13.

Blessings.

THE POWER OF CHOICE

The Power Of Choice One of the greatest gifts from God is free will. When God put Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, He told them they could eat fruit from any tree except that of knowledge of good and evil. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may eat freely; but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you will surely die." Genesis 2:17. God gave them clear consequences. This is the same with us today. When we realize we have power to choose good or bad, then that sets us free. The awakening of that truth in us is very powerful because knowing that, we will  not allow circumstances to dictate us. We can choose to do wrong, but let us never forget that in the end, there are consequences that follow. The bad things seem enticing but the repercussions are usually out of proportion to the wrong done. To the woman He said, "I will greatly multiply your pain in ch...

IDENTITY

Identity If we do not know our identity, then we will live our lives trying to please human beings. Knowing our identity means knowing our position in Christ. When we know who we are, we will not allow others to abuse, mistreat, or misuse us; we stop being people pleasers. Knowing who we are involves knowing our innate worth in God. Without knowing God and His love, we cannot love others. What we call loving others is validation if we do not do it out of God's love. We give to others until we become deficient, then expect others to give back in the same giving measure as we did towards them, in an effort to be validated or liked. When people do not do as we had expected, then we get frustrated. Many people are happy to receive, but giving back is hard. Therefore when we give so much expecting others to fill us in return, we run into self destruction. When we rely on people to fill voids within us, many start taking advantage, they start mistreating us and using us for their gain....

REJECTION

How to overcome rejection Rejection makes us feel alone; we feel like other people do not like us or do not want to be around us. It is a strong negative emotion of feeling unwanted, feeling like we are not understood, like the odd ones out, like others are better than us, like we are below others. Rejection makes us feel weird, unappreciated, criticized, and judged; it makes us feel as if nothing we do or say is ever good enough; it makes us feel as if we are not good enough or as if we do not matter. When rejected, we feel like outcasts. Rejection is defined as, "being excluded; cast off." It is a strong emotion, and when it happens, we start to feel unworthy. When under rejection, we may feel judged by others, talked about by others, avoided by people, laughed at, mistreated, abused - whether verbally, emotionally, physically, or financially; we may be taken advantage of and lied to. We may feel rejected by a school we had applied to, denied a certain job, secluded by fa...
